Palm trees are associated with victory and flourishing, but especially under harsh conditions, as it flourishes in the desert.
They also featured extensively in the decor of Solomon's Temple, and as such is also associated with God's presence, for He is our victory.
And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.
